Courses I Teach
- PROG1854 - Networking I (Term 3)
This course introduces the student to networking concepts such as network design, protocols, cabling, and Local Area Network (LAN) administration using Windows Server 2003.
- PROG1901 - Networking II (Term 4)
Continuing from Networking I, advanced LAN administration topics such as security, RAS, VPN, Web server, and network monitoring are studied.
- I also teach networking and PC hardware courses for the Computer Network Operations programs.

Graduated in 1981. Played on the 1979, '80, and '81 Zone III champion senior football teams.
Also a member of the Jazz and Concert Bands 1979-80 (trombone!).

Industry Experience
- Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology
Professor in the Computer Programmer/Computer Programmer Analyst program teaching courses dealing with computer hardware, operating systems, and networking.
Network Analyst maintaining academic and administrative Local Area Networks.
Programmer/Analyst using COBOL and the SEED Database.
- W.I. Cooper and Associates
Programmer/Analyst developing programs in Business Basic (Data General) and implementing PC based networks using the SuperDOS network operating system. Some of the systems I've worked on include: manufacturing inventory control, point of sale, charity donation, and accounting A/R, A/P, and G/L.
- Peel Board of Education
Programmer on my co-op work term. I performed maintenance using COBOL in a Burroughs mainframe environment.
- Consulac Micro Systems
Micro Computer Sales Representative. Also a co-op work term. I worked on 100% commission attempting to sell BMC if800 microcomputers. This was in 1983! These babies were all-in-one, built-in monitor, 80-column dot matrix printer and keyboard. Of course they were dual 5 1/4 inch floppy drive with a whopping 64K RAM! They used the CP/M operating system and could run programs such as VisiCalc, SuperCalc or WordStar. The list price was $4595 for monochrome and $5595 for colour!

We have two lovely daughters.
