I obtained an M.A. (ord) majoring in French and
German from Glasgow University a 'wee' while ago. (See definition
of 'wee' in my home page). The following year I received a
Teaching Certificate at the High School level from Jordanhill
Teachers' College in Glasgow.
I received my Masters in Education at Niagara University (eventually!)
in Summer '97.
Each summer for the last 10 years, I have attended the National
Computer Educators' Institute (NCEI) at the University of
Central Oklahoma. This institute is jointly sponsored by UCO
and McGraw-Hill publishers, and is attended by computer educators
from all over North America. It offers 2-week post-graduate courses in
leading-edge computer topics, as well as the opportunity to
network with other computer professionals.
I worked for 9 years in the Information Technology field in
Toronto before entering the teaching profession. I spent almost
2 years in the Computer Studies department at Humber College,
before coming to Niagara College in 1979.
